2022 - 2025
follow our journey since our launch in November 2022

The Launch
In 2022, we launched project Philo. Starting with nothing but a dream for a space for freedom through play and expression, we raised £15k with contributions from the wider community. We played, shared stories, created and ate round the community tables - regular community, many of our young families craved post-pandemic.

Philo 2.0 - The Art of Philo
Re-launching Philo in a new space over a longer period of time during the day, welcomed new and old families, giving us the opportunity to explore intergenerational play and art together at the Grove Park Youth Club (GPYC) and Forster Memorial Park. The project continued to be funded by the wider community and the families belonging to the space.

Pop Ups X
Collaborating with other organisations over the summer, paired our desires for community in spaces with other organisations with shared alignment. Intergenerational workshops in partnership with National Trust and Lewisham Council around themes of place making produced community art, currently on display at Downham Library.

The Green Room
Our experience of community crisis and lack of third space in the city for families and generations to belong to together, has led us to consider how we build the spaces we need for our liberation. We're excited to be building towards Philo’s physical space in Lewisham...more info coming soon!
